I have been teaching since 1998 when I received my certification at the original Center For Yoga. I was drawn to yoga a few years after my professional career as a ballet dancer ended, and the stresses of life were mounting. The calming effect, the non-competitive environment and the connection to the body I once had as a dancer were the magic potion for a more fulfilling life. Having that awareness of what one is feeling in the moment, and generally just being more conscious of one's body in space is what I strive for in life and what I teach in my yoga classes. Though I've studied with some of the great teachers: Max Strohm, Ana Forrest, and Erich Schiffman to name a few, finding my own voice as a teacher actually happened at Yoga House. The community of people here is pretty astounding, so it's been helpful to grow as a teacher here. I have taught for numerous studios over the years, but Yoga House has always been my home.
