Exploring Prana: Your Vital Life Force with Rene Quenell
August 10-11, 2-6pm
In-Studio & Livestream
Prana enables the body to move and the mind to think. It is the intelligence that coordinates our senses. At its heart, hatha yoga is more than just flexibility or strength in postures; it is the management of prana, the vital life force that animates all levels of being.
Prana divides itself into five vayus or “winds”, each governing different functions and aspects of being. When functioning harmoniously they insure health and vitality. When energy is focused and contained, the mind is calm and senses controlled. When energy is scattered, so are the mind and the senses.
Skillful use of prana harmonizes all the layers of our being
When we are full of prana, we easily adapt to change. We move fluidly through change, in stride, and thrive in our lives. Some would say true freedom lies in our ability to adapt. Specific sequencing of asanas can help us create an inner structure which supports the efficient work of all the prana vayus, expanding vital life force.
A closer look at each vaya can help us maximize the effectiveness of our hatha practice.
Come join us for a fun and informative experience of the prana vayus. Learn how you can use these tools everyday, through asana, pranayama, mantra and meditation, to help direct the flow of your life.
All levels welcome.
